For a treatment that has no known medical effect, it has worked well in many cases. Who knew some illnesses could be cured by such simple things such as sugar pills, sterile water, and saline solution. It is not all based on the treatment itself. The reaction and expectation of the patients plays a big role. This treatment is more of a psychological thing than a medical thing. The more the patient believes that it will work. The better the effect will be.
I noticed that we had posted the same video about the Placebo Effect and I can agree that this video was very informing in the way that it described what the Placebo Effect actually was along with the results of using a Placebo. Although Placebo isn't real medicine, it is stated that the Placebo works in up to about one out of every three patients. However, there are some negative side effects of using a Placebo including: Headaches, nervousness, nausea, or constipation. These negative side effects are also known as "nocebo effect."
